It was on the 3rd day of the New Year that we plan to go back to Brunei. We start our way home @ 0800am on the 9/2/08 and yr koko took over wheel, we hv a good ride to Lawas town and there is not much traffic, there is no jam at the Immigration both Sabah and Sarawak side. This goes to Immigration at Tursan and at Brunei Immigration we told that there is bad flooding in Puni Brunei Immigration, in which the ferry is not in operation. But have no other alternative but to carry on our journey to Puni Immigration, after we reach in Puni Immigration, we were told that the ferry only be in operation by 2.00pm and we follow the Q, and yr koko go out of the car and check at the ferry landing point in where it confirmed that the chances to get a cross the Temburong river that day is very very slim. We have to take the move at that point, that yr koko have to take the boat a cross the Temburong and than take a ride ex Temburong river to Limbang town and take a taxi ex Limbang town to Kuala Lurah Immigration where Lily Tan will wait for him at Brunei Immigration, and it really work (thank GOD) yr koko take the 8.15pm flight back to Kuala Lumpur that same evening. And me and yr mum make a U turn and go back to Banting. But before we go back, we able to get the Puni Immigration telephone contact, in where we will call from Banting to check whether the ferry is in operation or not, thru to our words the ferry not in operation for 2 days, and there a lot of cars standard in Temburong, and some people leave their cars in Temburong Police station and take a boat back to BSB, and those who still wait for the ferry in operation were given food and waters by Temburong flood relief committee.
It was on Sunday evening (10/02) that I received a call from a friend in Limbang that the ferry is back in operation but was told have to wait 3-4 hours in the Q before you can reach your turn, it was almost 5.00pm in the evening so I don’t want to take the risk and end up sleeping in the car and we decide to go back by 6.00am the next day. My journey back to Brunei on Monday morning is very smooth ride, there is no jam and drive with a speed of 100-120km per hours and reach the ferry point in Temburong at 0800am and cross the temburong river @ 0830 am (only 30 minutes in the Q) which I consider very good and normal. And reach Limbang @ 0900am and after having coffee and kolo mee, we leave Limbang town @ 10.00am and reach home sweet home at 1100am, as there is no jam at Immigration check point. Back to work in the office @ 1.30pm
